May is mental health awareness month

As May rolls on full steam ahead with graduations, weddings, parties, etc it’s no wonder there can be such high levels of anxiety and stress as families come together for these special occasions bringing with them baggage, dysfunction and tense nerves as they wait to see how events will play out. I know. I’ve lived it and it’s amazing how much your body will compensate to hold it all together just to fall apart after. It’s draining and toxic.

Sometimes these intense feelings resolve themselves on their own, and sometimes we just need someone to talk to that can help us navigate what feels too big for us to process alone.  With May being mental health awareness month I want to take this time to encourage any one that feels like they need a little extra encouragement, support or tools to navigate the upcoming days to reach out to a trusted coach or  counselor that can help you process all that you may be trying to navigate.

Reaching out and asking for help is brave. It’s courageous. Empowering and healing. There should be no shame in admitting that you are not ok.
